Last but one of this seasons Winter League, and boy was it a tough day. It rained all day, except for when it was hailing or sleeting, and the wind was blowing which made it even colder.Numb hands for everyone. That said all except two caught on this the Red Lane Bridge stretch of the Bridgewater Canal.
Phil's recent spell of luck deserted him today, with Ian Armstrong taking the win, with John Bryan and Alan Lamb finishing within drams of each other in second and third respectively.
Paul Roby had the pleasure of the Golden Peg today struggling in unlucky 13th.
James was unlucky as he wasn't able to hold on to a Pike which bit onto a Roach that he was bringing in.
The day improved when we all went to the Walton Arms for our Christmas carvery.
We can all enjoy a Christmas break before the last Winter match which is on the 5th January on the Macclesfield Canal, see you there! |
